{Road Trip} Plaza Benavides, University of Sto. Tomas

We miss going to a park.  So I was really glad it did not rain last Sunday.  After our get-together with Julia's ninang, we decided to go to a park for an afternoon walk.

We did not go far from our home.  A good friend recommended University of Santo Tomas (UST).  At first I was reluctant because I know that there is a church and hospital inside the campus.  The place might be as busy as it is on a regular school day.  Also, I was not sure if UST has already recovered from the recent flooding.

Despite my hesitations, UST was our road trip destination that Sunday afternoon.  I'm happy we went there because Julia had fun walking and, of course, running.  We were there at around 5pm and the place was not crowded, there were plenty of vacant spaces to park and best of all, McDonald's is open on Sundays (most of the stores there are not open on Sundays).  Julia finally had her first taste of ice cream while Daddy Don and I feasted on the twister fries.

Here are some photos:

Use Gov. Forbes Street entrance (Beside UST Hospital ER).  You will see the pay parking area (with McDonald's, KFC, etc) on your left.
